Adventure Playground Play Area

One of which forms part of our Art & Architecture collection – the largest outdoor gallery in the UK. This play are is called Play Garden and is an unusual playscape featuring a walled garden for smaller children, with forest follies in the wilder area for the older participants.

The form of the Cottage, Barn and Castle suggests past lives of this agricultural and military landscape while a route through the play area is marked by a line of steel poles connecting the suite to the flat expanse of Kielder Water in the background.

There is also a play area located next to our old barns on the way up lodge hill plus a large play area straight ahead of you and to the left when you exit reception. Just ask the reception staff and they will point you the right way.
